Maybe I have a slight obsession with Red Wings, and they honestly haven’t gotten enough praise here on Simple Threads. Ultra durable rough-out leather in a really awesome sage (more like grey) color, Good-Year welted, with a traditional off-white crepe sole that makes long days on your feet not so painful. Worn by carpenters and wood-workers, these were crafted for the not-so-rugged gentleman. These go amazingly well with my Left Field duck canvas pants and will definitely get better the more I wear ‘em.
If I had to pick the pieces I wore the most, these would be them. I guess I sort of like indigo… maybe a little too much.

Well, I think it’s time for some pictures of these beauties. These have rarely left my feet since the day I got them, and there’s a reason for that. I don’t think there is much else to say, besides the fact they’re still going strong and only look better the more worn in they get. I think it’s the way I walk, but I’ve been absolutely destroying this Vibram soles – other than that, they look brand new minus a few scuffs & scratches. I plan to take them to the cobbler next week and have the scuffs dyed with navy dye, but I wanted to take some shots of them beforehand.
The air finally has a chill in it. I’ve waited all year for this. Thanks Dylan Barnes for helping me out with these photos, and thanks to Michael Andersen for always holding me down with the best American made goods from the Woodlands.
